Techniques used
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) uses a wide range of manipulative techniques such as Soft Tissue Release (STR), Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), Integrated Neuro-Muscular Techniques (INIT), Positional Release, Strain-Counterstrain, Mechanotherapy, Cryotherapy and Mobilisation techniques.
Details
The above techniques are used for anyone suffering from:
• Muscle Strain
• Postural Stress
• Low back, neck and shoulder pain
• Hip and pelvic pain
• Foot or ankle pain
• Arthritic conditions
• Ligament or tendon damage
The above techniques are very effective in treating and helping to prevent further injury. Work is done on the soft tissue, tendons and ligaments of the body. A home programme of exercise/stretching is administered to the client between visits to the therapist until the maximum benefit of the treatments are apparent.
